Marketing: Promoted Listings (Ads)
Ads, also called Promoted Listings, make your items appear as Sponsored in eBay search. You set a bid percentage per item and pay that share of the sale only when a buyer clicks the ad and buys.
Key points
- You only pay when an ad leads to a sale, so there is no upfront cost.
- Ads live inside a Campaign.
- This is different from Promotions, which are discounts rather than paid placement.
Tip
Start with a modest bid percentage and raise it only on items that already convert well. Promoting a listing that does not sell on its own rarely fixes the underlying problem.
